The Truth Behind Having Brightly Coloured Hair

Brightly coloured hair can look stunning and definitely make you feel individual amongst a crowd. Now if you've been searching through Google images looking at various amounts of "bright purple hair" or "girls with pastel pink hair" and you've finally found the inspiration picture you were looking for then this is the post for you. Unfortunately as beautiful as bright colours are they are a massive pain in the backside to upkeep. In this post I'm going to give you a low down on the truth of having brightly coloured hair.

Wella Hair College Competition: Rose Gold Hair

Every year at the college the Hair and Beauty department at Sussex Coast College put on a competition for the students. This gives us a chance to put together a theme and idea to recreate in order to win a price! Feeling very old, this is my 3rd and final year of doing this show and I decided to showcase colour as it is my favourite aspect of hairdressing.

About a month or so ago, what you see below happened! It's not every day you get a client in that wants to do something you can really experiment and have fun with. This time it was my friend called Nina who studies Level 3 Hairdressing with me and who is always have fun and bright fashion colours.

This look was her idea and we were using her favourite colours to create this statement look. In this blog post I'm going to give you a little behind the scene's of how we created it!
